A Studio City Man surrendered to police on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

A Studio City man who won a Daytime Emmy award as a co-producer of the online soap opera “The Bay” was behind bars today on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon stemming from the stabbing of his roommate.

Andre Salaman Bautista, 36, surrendered to authorities at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City last Thursday, according to the District Attorney’s Office. He pleaded not guilty to the charges Monday, and his bail was set at $550,000, with a bail-review hearing set for later this week, prosecutors said.
