Fiery Crash Bogs Down 405 Freeway
One person was injured after a car erupted in flames in a crash on the 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA —A fiery crash shut down the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Sherman Oaks Friday, sending one person to the hospital.
The wreck happened at about 10:10 a.m. near Ventura Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. The SigAlert lasted for about an hour. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find one vehicle completely engulfed in flames. Paramedics rushed one person to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash forced the closure of the carpool lane, and the 1,2, and 3 lanes of the northbound freeway
