Fire Damages Sherman Oaks Apartment Building

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Firefighters made quick work of an attic fire at a Sherman Oaks apartment building Wednesday night.

The fire broke out in the attic of a two-story garden style apartment at about 6:11 p.m. Wednesday, in the 6900 block of Milwood Avenue according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire was ignited while work was being done on the building's roof, according to fire department officials. Crews had the blaze out within 15 minutes.

No one was injured in the fire.
