Fire Damages Sherman Oaks Condo
Four people were treated for minor complaints at the scene of a two-story fire at a Sherman Oaks condominium Monday.

SHERMAN OAKS , CA — A two-story condominium in Sherman Oaks was damaged in a fire early Monday morning, driving four people out of their home. Paramedics treated four people — an adult and three teenagers — for minor medical complaints, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to the scene at the 5100 block of North Kester Avenue at 4:16 a.m., Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The the fire at the two-story garden style building appeared to have started on the first floor and extended into the second floor but was contained to the unit of origin, Stewart said.

All occupants of the unit were out and accounted for when firefighters arrived, she said. It took 33 firefighters 19 minutes to put out the flames, Stewart said.
