Van Nuys Fire: Crews Battle Blaze at Voyager Motor Inn [UPDATED]
Heavy smoke was seen rising from the fire on N Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys.
VAN NUYS, CA - Firefighters battled a structure fire in the 6500 block of N Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys Sunday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters battled the fire defensively at the Voyager Motor Inn. The LAFD previously said the structure was possibly a three-story apartment complex. The 45,094 square foot building was first constructed as apartments in 1964.

The building was closed and vacant at the time the blaze broke out.
At an update provided just before 5 p.m., the LAFD said the fire had been knocked down. LAFD operations will continue through the night to fully extinguish the fire. No injuries have been reported.

The fire was reported around 2 p.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials have not estimated the monetary loss associated with the fire.
