Helicopter Lands On 101 Freeway To Help Injured Biker
A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash, and both sides of the Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks were shut down.
SHERMAN OAKS , CA —A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday in a collision with a car on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks.
The crash occurred around 5 p.m. near Woodman Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. A stretch of the freeway was closed in both directions to allow a helicopter to land to take the injured man to a trauma center, Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
All lanes were reopened by 6:06 p.m., according to the CHP.
