Jackie Goldberg Rejoins The LAUSD School Board
The board voted to seat Jackie Goldberg without waiting for the election results to be certified thanks to ger landslide victory.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Jackie Goldberg began serving on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education Tuesday, even though votes are still being tallied from the May 14 runoff election for the District 5 seat.
Board members voted unanimously to temporarily appoint Goldberg to the seat so she could get to work even as vote-counting continues. Goldberg emerged as a clear victor in the election, earning more than 70 percent of the vote.
According to an update released Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's Office, the majority of ballots from the election have now been tallied, with only 45 vote-by-mail ballots left to be counted.
