LAPD Chases Speeding SUV In San Fernando Valley
After a high-speed chase on Victory Boulevard, a reckless driving suspect ditched the SUV and fled on foot in Encino.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A reckless driving suspect led police on a chase along Victory Boulevard in a speeding SUV Friday afternoon before ditching the vehicle in the Encino area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect fled on foot shortly before 1 p.m., and police appeared set up a perimeter around a home in the 4800 block of Orion Avenue where the suspect was believed to be holed up.
By 1 p.m, police had the suspect in custody, said LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes.

The northbound lanes were still blocked at Moorpark Street and Orion Avenue as of 1: 10 p.m., and residents were advised to avoid the area.
