Large Tree Topples Onto 405 Freeway
A tree fell onto the San Diego (405) Freeway Thursday, blocking lanes and damaging cars.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A large tree toppled over onto the San Diego (405) Freeway Thursday afternoon in Sherman Oaks, damaging cars and jamming traffic. The incident jammed southbound traffic near the Sepulveda Pass traffic and injured multiple people.
The tree fell across an on-ramp at Burbank Boulevard about 1:30 p.m, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. The tree blocked several southbound lanes. One person was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Paramedics evaluated two others and treated them at the scene, authorities said.
The Burbank Boulevard on-ramp was closed, along with at least two freeway lanes, while crews worked to clear the scene.
