Man Killed In 101 Freeway Pileup
The California Highway Patrol advised drivers to avoid the 101 Freeway near Sepulveda Tuesday morning.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A portion of the Ventura (101) Freeway was shut down Tuesday morning while police investigated a pile-up that took one life. The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the northbound side of the freeway.
The crash happened at about 10:45 a.m. at at Sepulveda Boulevard, forcing the closure of four northbound lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 40-year-old man was killed in the crash, and two others were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
