Pedestrian Struck By Four Cars On 170 Freeway
A man in his 40s died trying to cross the Hollywood (170) Freeway near Sherman Way Tuesday.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man walking on the Hollywood (170) Freeway was struck by four vehicles early Tuesday morning.
The victim, identified as a man in his 40s, died at the scene on the northbound side of the freeway near Sherman Way in North Hollywood. All the drivers who struck him remained at the scene according to the California Highway Patrol.
It happened just before 2 a.m. It was immediately clear why the man was attempting to cross the freeway on foot.

One of the drivers suffered a minor injuring the collision. Each driver was interviewed by investigators, and no arrests were made.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the man who died.

Three northbound lanes were closed while an investigation was conducted.
