SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Sherman Oaks Friday. The crash was reported at 8:13 p.m. near the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Calhoun Avenue, said Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division. The pedestrian, whose age and gender were not immediately disclosed, was taken to a hospital but died while there, Madison said. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and was cooperative with officers, Madison said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.City News Service
