Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Valley Glen

VALLEY GLEN, CA — A man in his 40s was killed Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle in Valley Glen.

The crash was reported at 8:27 p.m. near Whitsett Avenue and Oxnard Street, according to Officer Sal Ramirez of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

The man died at the scene, he said.

The driver involved stopped at the scene and was cooperating with officers, Ramirez added.

The cause of the crash was under investigation and it wasn't immediately clear if the man was walking inside of a crosswalk.
