SCAM ALERT! Realtors Beware!
There are two men targeting Realtors in a credit card scam.

REALTORS BEWARE!!! Todd Riley and I just had an interesting encounter.
We received a call from a guy saying he was an attorney from Texas named
David Todd.
He said his son was going to start attending UCLA and that he wanted to purchase a 3 bedroom condo for him to live in while he was at school. He went on to say that his son was at the Double Tree Hilton
downtown and could we go get him and show him three listings.
We did some googling and sure enough there was an attorney in Austin by that name so Todd drove downtown and picked him up and we showed him the properties.

The kid told us how his luggage had been lost and he had left his Dad’s credit card in his luggage. Then things started to feel weird. He wanted us to drive him to the Hilton in Beverly Hills and while we were driving there the father was texting us saying that the hotel wouldn’t take his credit card over the phone and would we give thehotel a credit card to keep on file and that when the father arrived on Friday to buy the condo he would change out the card. I told then that it felt like a scam and Todd and I left him in the lobby of The hotel.
Later that night, around 8, the father texted me and asked me to pick the kid up in Beverly Hills and take him downtown. I told him to call Uber. Last I heard from him. Today I talked to the REAL David Todd in Austin, Texas and he said that these guys had been doing this to Realtors across the country and that the rest had given them money and credit card info. He has a picture of the guy which I will post when I receive it. They call from 970-889-9880 (father) 970-462-9528 (kid) They use the email address Todd.David.LawFirm@Gmail.com . Be careful out there.
