Sherman Oaks Barricade Ends In Arrest

Police surrounded a home in Sherman Oaks where a domestic violence suspect barricaded himself.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A domestic violence call that turned into a four-hour standoff in Sherman Oaks Monday night ended in an arrest.

Police surrounded a home in the 3900 block of Beverly Glen Boulevard shortly after 6 p.m. Monday following a report of domestic violence. When police arrived, the suspect barricaded himself in the home, according to Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers cordoned off the residence and evacuated nearby homes as a precaution, said Lopez. By 7 p.m., the suspect has surrendered to police.
