Sherman Oaks Home Damaged In Fire

Firefighters were able to quickly contain a blaze at a single-story home on Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Firefighters in Sherman Oaks managed to keep a house fire from spreading Monday afternoon. Crews had the blaze at a vacant single-story home out in just under 11 minuted, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A fire broke out in the attic of a vacant home in the 14400 block of Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks just before 3:30 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Investigators are working to determine the extent of the damage.
