Sherman Oaks Homes Without Water Service Following Water Main Break
Twenty-two customers were without water from the result of a 6-inch water main break Saturday morning in Sherman Oaks, authorities said.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Twenty-two customers are without water from the result of a 6-inch water main break Saturday morning in Sherman Oaks, authorities said.
The water main break occurred about 1:05 a.m. at 5040 Varna Ave., according to Department of Water and Power spokesman Albert Rodriguez.
The Los Angeles Police Department was called out to the location to assist with the relocation of some vehicles, Rodriguez said.

DWP crews are now at the scene repairing the 6-inch water main break.
Complete restoration is expected by 3 p.m.

A DWP spokesperson said customers can just turn the water on, without having to run it first.
No injuries were reported.
