Sherman Oaks Man ID'd In Fatal Metro Crash Near Long Beach
The man was killed Tuesday and the circumstances of the death were under investigation.

WILLOWBROOK, CA — A young man killed by a Metro Blue Line train in the Willowbrook area was identified Friday.
The man was injured near the 119th Street crossing near Willowbrook Avenue at 8:21 p.m. Tuesday, said Ramon Montenegro of the sheriff's Transit Policing Division.
Jimi Mcdanough-Furlano, 21, of Sherman Oaks died at the scene, the coroner's office reported. No one on board the train was injured. The circumstances of the death were under investigation.

Both southbound and northbound tracks were closed for the investigation, and bus bridges were set up to ferry passengers between the Imperial and Compton stations, Montenegro said.
Blue Line service reverted to normal by about 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to Metro.
