Sherman Oaks Man Pleads No Contest To Stabbing Adoptive Fathers
Matthew Boulet, who was 21 at the time of the attack, could face up to 15 years in prison.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A man pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted murder against his two adoptive fathers. Matthew Boulet, who was 21 at the time of the attack, could face up to 15 years in prison.
On July 24, 2018, prosecutors said Boulet stabbed one father multiple times in the face, body, neck and other areas. When his other parent tried to intervene, Boulet stabbed him several times as well.
Both parents managed to survive their stab wounds.

“He was very nonchalant when he said he had stabbed his two fathers and that he suffered a wound while doing so,” Los Angeles police Lieutenant. Mike Kozak said at the time of the crime. “He was very calm about it.”
Authorities said Boulet, who is now 23, was home from college at the time.
