Sherman Oaks Neighborhoods: Fashion Square
Spotlight on The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood known as the Fashion Square and Sherman Oaks Fashion Square Homes For Sale

Number three in my Spotlight on Sherman Oaks Neighborhoods series. ( not in any particular order). What I can't tell you is when or how the neighborhood between Woodman (east), Hazeltine (west), Riverside (south) and Magnolia (north) became the highly sought-after Fashion Square neighborhood of Sherman Oaks. It is obvious how the name was chosen because of the proximity to the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square mall but who started calling it that is a mystery. If you know the story behind it I would love to hear it.
There are a little over 600 homes in the Fashion Square neighborhood. Some are the original, quaint traditional style homes built in the Valley through the 1930's and 50's and some are the huge homes built in that last couple of years in most of the popular neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley. One thing that is consistent as you walk through the tree lined streets is the pride of ownership and friendliness of the neighbors out walking and biking. No wonder this is such a highly desired pocket of Sherman Oaks.
Besides being walking distance to the Westfield Mall the area is also close to Trader Joe's, the 101 freeway and all the dining and shopping available on Ventura Blvd.
