Shooting Victim Found In Elevator Of Victory Blvd Apartment

A woman is in critical condition after being found with a gunshot wound in a Woodland Hills apartment complex elevator.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Police are looking for a shooter who wounded a woman found in an elevator complex in Woodland Hills Wednesday.

The woman was in critical condition after being shot in the leg, and a man was detained at the scene, CBS LA reported. However, it was unclear if the man was considered a suspect. A vehicle was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting and was later impounded, KNX reported.

The shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. to the 22000 block of Victory Boulevard. A person found the bleeding woman inside an elevator and called the police.

The Los Angeles Police Department did not release a shooter description nor a possible motive for the shooting. Authorities also did not immediately say what led up to the shooting.
