Shopping for a Home on the Internet Is Much Easier

I received an email last week from one of my clients telling me how much fun she is having looking at homes right now using the Internet browsing system that I had set her up on last week.

I met her around twelve years ago when I helped her find her nice four bedroom house in the flats of Sherman Oaks. She and her husband wanted a nice neighborhood in which to raise their two sons. Now that her boys are out of the house and in college she’s interested in finding a smaller house yet would like to stay in her neighborhood but this time she would like a view and a pool.

I built a program for her where I plugged in her search criteria. The area, price range, the minimum bedrooms and baths and a few more details on what their needs are today. Then every day an email would automatically be sent to her
with all the listings that came on the market that day along with all the pictures and descriptions of the houses on the market with their specific criteria.

She said that” it is great that all the homes that are on the market are available
be to be seen on the Internet and are as close as a tap of the mouse”.

She went on to say “the great thing about Internet listings is that they are updated all the time. Instead of waiting for me to call her, she can see the listings as they become available online”. She felt that this gave her the “upper edge” on her property hunt.

Once she narrowed down the homes that she liked, it was very simple for her to call me and I would give her my options of the homes that she selected and then we would go out and see these homes. “ The last time we were looking at homes we needed to come to your office, look at the listing book that came out twice a week, and did not have any pictures, and then we would have to
drive to each one just to see what they looked like from the outside. Then we would come back to the office and set up showings to see the ones that looked interesting”.

Not only is it a great tool for my clients but it is a great tool for Real Estate agents. These on-line systems have helped my clients become better acquainted with all the properties in there marketplace. This saves me and the home buyers a tremendous amount of time.
