Small Brush Fire Breaks Out In Sherman Oaks
A small brushfire stymied traffic along the 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks Friday.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — It didn't take long for Los Angeles firefighters to put out a small brush fire in Sherman Oaks Friday afternoon.
The blaze broke out just before 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 4300 block of Riverside Drive between the Los Angeles River and the Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"Navigating traffic and challenging terrain didn't stop firefighters from getting a quick jump on the fire and stopping it in 23 minutes," said Department spokesman Nicholas Prange .

The blaze was contained to a half-acre, according to fire officials.
No one was injured in the fire, which remained under investigation.
