Smash and Grab Burglars Terrorize Ventura Boulevard Businesses
A pair of brazen thieves have been targeting businesses along Ventura Boulevard in the Valley.
STUDIO CITY -- Los Angeles Police detectives are asking for help identifying two suspects in a rash of commercial burglaries in Studio City.
Two suspects were caught on security cameras in footage released to the public Thursday in hopes that someone will recognize the pair believed to be involved in at least eight smash and grab burglaries.
According to the LAPD, there has been an increase in commercial burglaries along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City so far this month and in August.

“The suspects target businesses, smash storefront windows and remove cash registers,” detectives said in a written statement.
Authorities are recommending that business owners take measures to protect themselves by installing audible alarm systems that cover glass breakage, leaving cash registers empty and open, installing a video camera system that covers both the interior and exterior of the business, and illuminating the exterior as well as the interior of the businesses during the night.”
