Valley Man Gets Probation in Tire-Slashing Spree

The tires of more than 20 vehicles were slashed, Los Angeles police said.

VAN NUYS, CA -- A Van Nuys man was sentenced to three years probation Thursday for slashing the tires of vehicles in the Valley Glen area.

Shai Igvi, 33, pleaded guilty in February to four felony counts of vandalism with over $400 in damage and four misdemeanor counts of vandalism with under $400 in damage, prosecutors said.

Igvi's arrest in early February came after investigators released security video that showed a man in a short-sleeved shirt going from vehicle to vehicle, methodically cutting tires.
