Van Nuys High Beefs Security Following 'Kill Everyone' Threat
Authorities increased security at Van Nuys High School following a Snapchat threat to "kill everyone" at the school.

VAN NUYS, CA — Students at Van Nuys High School walked to class Monday morning under heightened security after a threat was made on social media to "kill everyone" at the school.
The apparent threat made against students via Snapchat. Police became aware of the threat after parents notified the authorities. The parents had learned of the threat, which involved an apparent conversation among two young people who know one another in which a comment was made that a person wanted to "kill everyone" at the school, according to broadcast reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes Division was assisting Los Angeles school police in the investigation involving the campus in the 6400 block of Cedros Avenue, where classes were in session.
