5th Annual Sierra Madre Wine and Jazz Walk this Weekend
Wine, hors d'oeuvres, live jazz and much more on tap for this weekend's big event.
Sierra Madre's Fifth Annual Wine and Jazz Walk benefiting the City of Hope and the fight against cancer is set to take place this Saturday, Oct. 9. The Wine and Jazz Walk will commence at 4 p.m. at Baldwin Avenue and Sierra Madre Boulevard as attendees are invited to take in downtown's participating shops and businesses and enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres, jazz music, a display of exotic cars (from the Ferrari Club of America and Rusnak Mercedes Benz) and charity raffles and a silent auction.
The festival benefits the City of Hope's cancer research and treatment programs. Wines come from the Riboli Family Wine Estates and the San Antonio Winery, a historical winery dating back to 1917. Local restaurants are contributing appetizers.
A raffle, prize giveaway and silent auction will feature more than one hundred prizes. Prizes include 2011 Rose Parade tickets for four, a Big Bear getaway, a Long Beach Grand Prix package, a catered gourmet dinner for six by Chefelle Catering, UCLA vs. Oregon State football tickets for four, a Patio Bistro three-place set from Outdoor Elegance and a variety of other goodies. The auction will close at 7:15 p.m. Organizers hope to top the $12,000 generated from last year's auction event.
