Alverno High School To Hold Book Sale on Saturday, September 26
The Alverno High School Library is hosting a "Used Book Sale" on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Stop by!
On Saturday, September 26 the Alverno High School Library will be hosting a used book sale from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The book sale will feature hundreds of gently used books from Alverno High School’s library. The books, all non-fiction, include collections of social studies, health, theology, and art texts. Prices will range from $0.50 to $2.00 for all texts and only cash will be accepted. All money raised from the sale will be donated to the Sierra Madre Public Library to be used for children and teen library services.
Alverno High School is currently working on plans to upgrade the school’s library to a Learning Technology Center, which will include new study areas, new technology for student use, as well as an updated collection of more than 5,000 books. The new Learning Technology Center will incorporate aspects of the 21st century while retaining the architectural integrity of the building’s 1960s design. The Learning Technology Center is expected to be completed by the fall of 2016.
