Initially, new users will need to register with the site and set up an account. This can be done using the step-by-step instructions found after clicking on "Member Registration."

After registering, new users will be sent a confirmation e-mail to the address they provided during setup. The link provided in that e-mail will allow users to confirm their e-mail address and complete the new user registration process.

Adding Water Service Accounts:

Once the new user account is setup, users will need to add their water bill account information, so ratepayers will need to have a recent bill handy. The site accepts payments by Visa or Mastercard.

The new feature was introduced at Tuesday's City Council meeting by Karin Schnaider, Administrative Services Director.

Schnaider said more services are on the way by December including options to pay for business licenses, building permit options, dog license payments and paramedic subscription payments.

In addition to the online utility payment option, there is also a plan to make more city documents available online - . The new system is even expected to include archived items from past years.

The plan will include the implementation of a Tyler Content Management System. Look for a more detailed article on this new content management system coming soon on Sierra Madre Patch.
