Daylight Savings 2011: It's Almost Time to Fall Backward

Daylight Saving time ends not this weekend, but the next, on Sunday November 6: It's always the first Sunday in November.

That's the case for Sierra Madre, but not in the U.K, where Daylight Saving will end on Sunday, Oct. 30. In fact, there's even a move by the British government to scrap it altogether.

Why is it different in the U.S.? According to the Huffington Post, the extended Daylight Saving Time began here back in 2007, after the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005.
