Poll: Do you Believe the 11-11-11 Hype?

If you write out today’s date, it’s 11/11/11. At least is making their way down the aisle so they can proudly say that today is their wedding anniversary, and thousands are reportedly flocking to Vegas so they can say the same. Perhaps it’s because, when written, the number 11 is two one’s joining together.

Or maybe they just don’t want people to forget their wedding anniversary.

More than a few school-age kids I know make wishes when the clock hits 11:11.

The Huffington Post says that today is “a powerful point in our lives. It’s a day that favors matters of the heart over the mind…”

But physics professor Eric Carlson of Wake Forest University told HuffPo reporters not to believe the hype- our brains are just wired to recognize patterns.
