Exploring Privatization: A Free Community Forum

The Pasadena area League Of Voters will host a forum titled "Yours? Mine? Ours? Exploring Privatization" at the Neighborhood Church in Pasadena on February 11th.

Emcee and panel moderator Jan Sanders will lead the forum in an exploration of privatization models from complete divestiture and privately contracted services, to collaborative service partnerships between local communities.

Panelists will include Mark R. Alexander, city manager,  La Canada Flintridge; Scott Ochoa, former city manager of Monrovia and now Glendale city manager as of January 3; and Frank Zerunyan, director of Executive Education and senior fellow of the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development.

Following the presentations, the audience will break into groups to discuss specific topics including public safety, municipal services, transportation and roadways, and property, facilities and open spaces.

Although the forum is free, donations will be accepted.  The League requests that parties interested in attending the forum request their reservation either by calling the League office at (626)-798-0965 or by emailing their request to office@lwvpasadenaarea.org
