The Sierra Madre Search & Rescue Team will be having an open house at the rescue station on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The station is located at the corner of Stonehouse Road and Grand View Avenue, just two blocks east of of Santa Anita Avenue in Sierra Madre. The Team will have demonstrations of rescues, search dogs, safety instruction for kids, and interactive things for kids to do as well as musical entertainment. There will be lots of hands-on activities. Hot dogs and drinks will be available for lunch. Come and see what your “All-Volunteer Mountain Search & Rescue Team” is all about & help celebrate our 60 years of savings lives in the wilderness.
