SPECIAL BENEFIT PERFORMANCE OF “SYLVIA” ON FEBRUARY 10 AT SIERRA MADRE PLAYHOUSE

The Sierra Madre Playhouse is a lovingly-restored Art Deco gem of a theatre, a landmark cultural resource on Sierra Madre’s main street. But it’s been just a touch chilly inside on cold nights, so the Playhouse is having a benefit performance of the popular comedy “Sylvia” on Thursday, February 10, to raise funds to restore the heating system of the building to its peak efficiency and ensure the future comfort of theatre patrons.
The show is preceded at 7:00 p.m. with a reception featuring Champagne, wine and hors d’oeuvres. Then, at 7:30, there’s the show: A.R. Gurney’s comedy about New York’s most lovable dog and her master. The show stars Tanna Frederick (also currently starring in the movie “Queen of the Lot” now playing on the Laemmle circuit), Stephen Howard, Cathy Arden and Frank Dooley. Gita Donovan directs. Producer: Christine Soldate.
Tickets for this special benefit performance, including reception, are $50 each and can be reserved by calling (626) 355-4318.
