Food Truck Fest Draws Hundreds to Memorial Park

Well attended event saw enough visitors that some trucks even sold of out food early.

Hundreds of local foodies turned out to on Saturday for the Sierra Madre 's inaugural food truck festival.

Eight food trucks from across Los Angeles and the gastronomical spectrum turned out to serve up their specialties to a crowd estimated by event organizers to be more than 250 people at its peak.

The event was a fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the .

As per the agreement setup between the Chamber, the trucks and festival organizers, the Chamber took an undisclosed percentage from the profit made by each truck.

In turn, 20 percent of that amount is slated to be donated to the Rose Float Association.

The Chamber is planning another for Aug. 27, and this time there will be 11 trucks involved. More information on the rallies is available on the Chamber website.
