Former Sierra Madre Mayor Named in Fraud Case
Lawsuit names Bart Doyle, along with others, in alleged attempt to defraud the City of El Monte and state and federal agencies.

A lawsuit filed by the City of El Monte has named three companies and 13 people as allegedly being part of “a network of sham entities” that where used to allegedly fraudulently obtain money at the city, state and federal level for development projects in El Monte, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
The suit centers on the troubled El Monte Transit Village development, a planned regional bus terminal that was intended to be built in partnership with the city, along with state and federal grant money.
With the help of local blogger John Crawford, the Star-News contacted Doyle last month for comment. As reported on the Tattler, Doyle has denied any wrongdoing or that federal investigators have contacted him regarding this case.
