Guide to This Week's Election Events

It's a busy campaign week for the Sierra Madre City Council candidates. There are three forums and one mixer scheduled during the next five days. See what you can expect from each one.

Sunday Afternoon City Council Candidates Forum

If you have a busy work week but can spare a couple of hours today, this is the forum for you. Today from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., all seven City Council candidates will gather at the Memorial Park Hart House, 222 W Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre, a forum.

The event is free and open to the public. The Harry L. Embree VFW Post 3208 is the sponsor.

Tuesday Afternoon City Council Candidates Forum

If you have a free hour during lunch Tuesday, head on down to The Kiwanis Club's Lodge at 33 E Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre. The Club is sponsoring a candidate forum that starts at 12:00 p.m.

Wednesday Evening City Council Candidates Forum

If you can't make Sunday or Tuesday's forums, there's always this one on Wednesday evening. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. the League of Women Voters, Pasadena Area will moderate this forum. Residents will be asked to submit written questions to LWVPA staff, who will then sort them and present them to the moderator.

This forum takes place at City Hall, 232 W Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre.

Thursday City Council Candidates Mixer

If a forum sounds a little too formal and you'd prefer to get to know your candidates in a social setting, this mixer is for you. Sponsored by the Sierra Madre Woman's Club, this mixer takes place at 550 W Sierra Madre Blvd.

This is the only event that isn't free and requires an RSVP (just send an e-mail to BillCoburn@SierraMadreChamber.com to reserve your spot). Admission is $5.00 and light refreshments will be provided.
