How to Register for 4th of July 5K Fun Run

Celebrate our nation's independence by running a 5K in Sierra Madre. Here's how to register.

Break a sweat on Fourth of July by running in Sierra Madre's second annual Firecracker Fun Run. It's 5k total and open to runners of all ages and experience levels.

The route is partially the same one the 4th of July Parade will take: Participants will begin in Kersting Court and run east on Sierra Madre Boulevard down to Sierra Vista Park, turn around and run west back up Sierra Madre Boulevard to Sunnyside Avenue. Participants will turn around again at Sunnyside and travel the parade route on Sierra Madre Boulevard back to Kersting Court.

The race starts at 8:00 a.m. sharp, with check-in from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

Save Money on Registration

All participants who register prior to June 26 will pay $10 for kids under 10, $15 per person for a family of 4 or more, and $20 for all others. Early birds will also get a fun run t-shirt.

Everyone who registers after June 26 will pay $25 per person.

How to Register

Register online by visiting www.cityofsierramadre.com/onlineregistration  and entering the keyword "fun run."

Participants can also register at the Community Recreation Center or on-site, the day of the race.
