Updated: ICE, Sierra Madre Police Search Porn Convict's Home
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers searched Bob Matheson's home Monday evening, according to a release from Sierra Madre PD.
Federal investigators from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement searched the Liliano Drive home of Bob Matheson, the Sierra Madre resident who pleaded guilty Tuesday in Canada to possessing and smuggling child porn on Dec. 13.
It's not known if anything was taken from Matheson's home in the Monday night search, according to the Pasadena Star-News. In a press release from the police department, Chief Marilyn Diaz said federal authorities are handling the investigation.
Virginia Kice, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson, said in an e-mail to Patch Tuesday morning that "ICE Homeland Security Investigations agents executed a search warrant yesterday evening at a Sierra Madre residence as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. However, because that probe is ongoing, we are not at liberty to release any further details at this time."

Matheson was sentenced to 108 days in jail in Canada and likely faces deportation once his sentence ends, according to authorities speaking to the Chronicle Herald, a Canadian newspaper.
