Letter to the Editor: 'Tattler' Too Negative?
A new blog called The Sierra Madre Tattler Tattler has hit the web, and its author aims to bring more positivity to the local web scene.

Editor's note: Anyone who lives in Sierra Madre knows John Crawford and his daily blog, The Sierra Madre Tattler, which takes on City Hall and other issues of importance to residents. Not everyone loves the blog (though we read it daily ourselves). So it is that a resident who calls herself "Lady Elizabeth Wistar"--a joke based on Crawford's own nom du Web, Sir Eric Maundry--has created her own counter-blog, which she calls The Sierra Madre Tattler Tattler. What's she trying to do? She sent us this email explaining herself.
I started the blog because I am so tired of the negativity in town. I think attitude is contagious: both good attitude and bad attitude. If you don't have anything nice to say, go to the Tattler. If you have something positive to say, go to the Tattler Tattler. Plus, I think it's hilarious. Quite frankly it makes me smile to say the words Tattler Tattler.
I feel the Tattler squeezes out any joy there is in serving Sierra Madre. It is an acrid misery urn (appropriate anagram of Sir Eric Maundry), a vessel into which John Crawford allows (and encourages) people to dump all sorts of maliciously polluted water. Well, the solution to pollution is dilution! Let's inundate him with happiness and affirmations of love for our city and the things that our city officials are doing right.
Thanks!
Lady Elizabeth
