Mayor Buchanan Will Not Seek Re-Election
Mayor John Buchanan announced Tuesday night that he will not be running in the April elections.

While Mayor John Buchanan is "flattered" that he's received several inquiries as to whether he'll seek re-election in April, he has opted not to seek another term on the City Council.
"I'm not going to seek re-election," the Mayor said at Tuesday night's City Council meeting. "I've never had the intention of seeking re-election after these eight years."
Buchanan said that while he is not a big fan of offical term limits, he is self-imposing a term limit of eight years.
