National Puppy Day was founded seven years ago by Pet Lifestyle Expert Colleen Paige to celebrate the soft puppy fur, puppy breath and puppy antics that make puppies so irresistible. It's also "a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills, as well as further our mission for a nation of puppy-free pet stores," according to the official website.
