Oktoberfest Golf and Tennis Fundraiser Slated for Saturday
7th annual golf and tennis tournaments will raise funds for the City of Sierra Madre's Youth Activity Center.
The competition is about to begin in Sierra Madre with the 7th Annual Oktoberfest Golf and Tennis Tournament slated for this Saturday, Oct. 15.
Funds raised from the city-sposored event will benefit Sierra Madre's youth programs, such as Friday activities in Kersting Court, Summer Fun in the Park, youth flag football, , teen programs, the and the upcoming .
Golf Tournament
The foursome golf tournament will be played on the nine-hole in a "best-ball" format at the Eaton Canyon Golf Course starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Golfers can sign up as a team or as an individual and the top team will receive individual trophies and immortality on the Oktoberfest Golf Tournament perpetual trophy.
Golf tournament fees are $70.00 per person or $250 per team of four. Lunch will be provided and is included in both entry fees.

Tennis Tournament
The tennis tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. as well and will be held at the Orange Grove tennis courts at the corner of Orange Grove Blvd. and Baldwin Avenue in the City of Arcadia.
The tournament will be played as round robin doubles with rotating partners in co-ed divisions.
The first, second, and third place winners each receive a trophy and the first place winner will have their name engraved on the Oktoberfest Tennis Tournament perpetual trophy.
Tennis tournament fees are $50.00 per person and lunch will also be included.
Awards Ceremony
Following the tournaments the city will hold a reception and awards ceremony at the
Attendees will be treated to an Oktoberfest style lunch including beer, brats, and German chocolate cake. There will also be raffle tickets for purchase as well as the opportunity to bid on silent auction items.
Those interested in attending the lunch reception only can buy tickets at a price of $25.00 per person.
