Pasadena Leaders Endorse Holden for Assembly
Add 12 past and present elected officials of the city to the candidate's growing list of supporters.
Chris Holden, a member of the Pasadena City Council and a candidate aiming to replace Tim Donnelly in representing the 41st Assembly District, now has the backing of a dozen current and former leaders from the city of Pasadena, according to a Wednesday morning statement from his campaign.
Altadena is in the newly drawn 41st Assembly District, which also includes Monrovia, La Verne, Pasadena, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga, Claremont and Upland.
“Chris’ hard work and dedication to Pasadena has had a lasting impact on the economic vitality of our city and the region,” Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard said in the released statement. “I’ve had the privilege of working with Chris for many years and believe he will represent us extremely well in the State Assembly.”

Holden's campaign has been picking up steady endorsement steam. earlier this month, and the in September.
Pasadena Vice Mayor Margaret McAustin and council members Victor Gordo, Steve Madison, Jacque Robinson and Terry Tornek. Former Pasadena council members Steve Haderlein, Paul Little, Joyce Streator, Sid Tyler and Ann-Marie Villicana also endorsed Holden. Rick Cole, former Pasadena mayor and current city manager for the city of Ventura, is endorsing Holden as well.
