For Kids:

Tap and ballet classes are offered Wednesday afternoons for kids age two to five-years-old. Dance is a great way to keep your kids fit and introduce them to music and movement. Plus, they’ll look adorable in dance clothes.

Hapkido Karate classes are offered for kids who are five and up (classes are broken down by age). Karate teaches discipline and helps kids set goals. They’ll feel awesome once they start earning belts.

For Teens:

Spring Swim Team. The Dolphins Swim Team accepts kids up to age 18, and meets every weekday for an hour and a half starting in April.  It’s a great way to keep track of your teen… and for them to build up their endurance and swim skills.

A Junior Tennis Workout starts this Friday in Memorial Park for kids ages 8 to 18-years-old. It’ll keep your teen in shape and allow them to socialize outside the school hallways.

For Adults:

Yoga. If “yoga” is a foreign word to you, sign up for a Gentle Yoga class. If you think you can handle a little more, go for the regular yoga. There are separate classes for adults and seniors.

Whale Watching. Get a group of friends together and hop on a bus to Long Beach for Sierra Madre’s annual whale watching excursion, which is narrated by Aquarium of the Pacific staff. The boat has indoor and outdoor seating, so you can catch some rays or enjoy the cruise in the shade. Cost is $28 per person and it takes place on March 3.

For Seniors:

Bowers Museum. Soak up some culture at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana on Thursday January 26. “Warriors, Tombs and Temples, China’s Enduring Legacy” is on special exhibition right now. $22 will get you a museum ticket, audio tour and transportation.

San Antonio Winery Tour. Wrap up your week with a trip to the historic San Antonio Winery, on Friday February 17. The winery has been tucked away in Los Angeles since 1917. $10 will get you a tour of the grounds plus a tasting.

Be sure to check out the full list of Community Services activities on their website. Registration is open now! If you have any questions, call the Community & Personnel Services office at (626) 355-5278.
