Photos: The 2012 Wistaria Festival

Visitors from far and wide celebrated the great vine on Sunday despite the gloomy weather. Revelers roamed for food, fun and art on a rainy Sierra Madre Blvd. Check out these photos from the Wistaria Festival.

Celebrations and a rainy afternoon marked the arrival of the 2012 Wistaria Festival in Sierra Madre.

The day started off overcast, but just before 12 p.m. raindrops began to fall. The rain increased in intensity over the next half hour, prompting festival-goers to pop open their umbrellas as they wandered among the vendors on Sierra Madre Blvd.

We were soaked by 1 p.m., though shuttles were still running visitors up to view the famous 250-ton wisteria vine and to tour when we left to dry off.
