Police Blotter: Marijuana, Battery and Criminal Threats

The Sierra Madre Police Department responded to approximately 252 calls for service from November 20 to November 26.

The following information was provided by the Sierra Madre Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

These were the most notable incidents during the week of November 20 to November 26, according to the SMPD:

Possession of Marijuana (1oz or less)

Sunday, November 20, 12:40 AM: An officer arrested a 51-year-old man for a warrant near Lima St. and Ramona Ave. Police say the man was in possession of marijuana. The suspect, who is a Sierra Madre resident, was cited for marijuana possession and arrested for the warrant. He was transported to Pasadena Police Department Jail for booking.

Tuesday, November 22, 12:52 AM- The alleged victim's ex-girlfriend was reportedly leaving threatening voicemails. This incident occurred in the 400 block of W. Sierra Madre Blvd.    

Vandalism/Graffiti

Wednesday, November 23, 9:56 AM-  An unknown suspect or suspects used green, black and yellow spray paint to draw on a wall in the Auburn Reservoir.

Battery Against Current/Ex Spouse/Cohab-Non Cohab

Wednesday, November 23, 8:07 PM- In the 500 block of Manzanita Ave. an alleged victim and suspect got into an argument that turned into a fight. SMPD officers arrested the suspect, who they say was the dominant aggressor, and transported him to the Pasadena Police Department Jail for booking.          

Disorderly Conduct/Drunk in Public

Thursday, November 24, 12:15 AM- Officers arrested a 25-year-old man in front of Buccaneer Bar in the 100 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. for public intoxication, and took him to the Pasadena Police Department Jail for booking.     

DUI Alcohol/Drugs

Thursday, November 24, 1:18 a.m.- Near the intersection of Lowell Ave. and Baldwin Ave., an officer stopped a 27-year-old Montclair motorist for a Vehicle Code violation and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and taken to the Pasadena Police Department for booking.
