Residents Stealing Electricity, Says Pasadena
Some Pasadena residents are reportedly taking desperate measures to restore their power.

The City of Pasadena issued a special alert this evening advising residents not to steal electricity from voltage boxes.
"There are been reports of some residents opening pole boxes at the base of street lights and stringing wire from the boxes to their homes," said Ann Erdman, Pasadena's Public Information Officer, in a statement.
"The voltage in most boxes is much too high for individual homes. This practice is illegal as well as extremely hazardous to people and structures," the statement continued.
