Second Food Truck Rally Offers All New Choices

There will be 11 new trucks to sample at Saturday's event.

Well, folks, the day has arrived. That's right, it's the second installment of the . This time, there are even more trucks, and it's an entirely new crop of trucks, with no repeats from the last event.

The rally, put on by the , takes place on August 27 from 11p.m. to 6 p.m. in

It'd be a good idea to arrive earlier rather than later, as many trucks ran out of some menu items or even sold-out before 6 p.m. during the first rally.

Also, the Chamber encourages visitors to take a short walk east to Kersting Court and the Sierra Madre Boulevard and Baldwin Avenue businesses.

Think you had some delicious food the first time around? Take a look at the mouth-watering and quirky lineup for this Saturday's festival; you may want to wear your elastic-waist shorts.

  • Grilled Cheese Patrol- A law enforcement-themed grilled cheese truck to be reckoned with. A Misdemeanor, Citation, or Infraction you'll want to receive.
  • Sloppy Gourmet- A Sloppy Joe truck serving everything from the original to a steak, shrimp or surf 'n turf version.
  • Krazy BBQ- A Korean-American-Mexican fusion food truck. Try everything from dogs to burritos with traditional Korean flavor.
  • Los Angeles Shaved Ice- Made with real cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup, the hardest part may be deciding which flavors to choose.
  • Lake Street Creamery- Fine ice creams, gelatos and sorbet all made on location in the truck.
  • Mama's Food Truck- Anything Mama makes has to taste great. Serving Malaysian American cuisine.
  • Hungry Nomad- Armenian/Lebanese cuisine featuring flat bread concoctions, hummus and other Mediterranean favorites.
  • Go Country 105- Well this is something new. A radio station food truck, serving Southern, Country and Tex-Mex specialties.
  • Dumpling Station- Yummy dumplings in various flavors. Not to be skipped.
  • Get Your Lardon- Can't. Breathe. Cholesterol clogging arteries or just pure elation from having a bacon food truck in town? Come hither, baconistas.
  • Peanut Butter Truck- PB&J with bacon? Try an array of gourmet PB&Js. Some sweet, some salty, some more tame than others.
