They're Back! See Tap Chicks at the Playhouse

They sparkle, they dazzle, they twirl. The Tap Chicks will return to Sierra Madre Playhouse in May.

They're the Rockettes of the mature set... but their performance is certainly for all ages. The Tap Chicks are returning to the after two years, and are hitting the stage with new routines and new costumes on May 6.

The all-lady group is made up of seasoned tappers aged 50 to 84-years-old. They shuffle, stamp and ball-change to all sorts of music, from Broadway tunes to 40s favorites and contemporary songs. They've been a favorite at the L.A. County Fair for years and have built up a solid following. Their Playhouse performances have been known to sell out.

The Tap Chicks were originally formed at Pasadena Senior Center. They are choreographed by Pam Kay, who also provides musical accompaniment, comedy and vocals.
